|Communications network||The installation of this optical multiplexing equipment will allow SWTC to monitor and control devices in these substations that could not be monitored before through the existing SCADA systems. These devices include feeder switches and SEL devices. The connections between the substations operate at an OC-192 bandwidth. No communication network equipment was installed in 3rd Quarter 2014.||$5,192,750|

|Dynamic Capability Rating System (DCRS) - Transmission Lines||$0|
|Other transmission assets||13||The Kelman devices will monitor levels of various gases within the transformers they are installed on. The Dynamic Rating devices will allow for the monitoring of temperature readings of the transformers. These are capabilities that currently exist for SWTC today, however not on these specific pieces of equipment. No Kelman or Dynamic Rating devices were installed in 3rd Quarter 2014.||$1,754,686|
|Other transmission assets||146||A total of 5 new SEL devices and 1 existing SEL device was installed in 1 substation were upgraded during the previous quarter. The SEL protection devices were installed on transformers, bus differential, lines and breakers. A portion of these devices will enable the previously mentioned equipment to sense a fault and communicate with one another to quickly isolate the fault and minimize the impact to the customers. The remaining devices will act as an RTU and provide visibility to the SCADA team of the status of the device. No SEL protection devices were installed in 3rd Quarter 2014.||$2,896,809|

|Steady-state model benchmarking||No|
|Power system restoration||No|
* In some circumstances, costs are incurred before devices are installed resulting in a reported cost where the quantity is zero.
* All dollar figures are the total cost, which is the sum of the federal investment and cost share of the recipient (the recipient cost share must be at least 50% of the total overall project cost).
** In some cases the number of entities reporting is greater than the total number of projects funded by the Recovery Act because some projects have multiple sub-projects that report data. View list of sub-projects.
