Sioux Valley Southwestern Electric Cooperative, Inc.
SVE SmartGrid Program
Abstract
The Sioux Valley Energy (SVE) Smart Grid Program deployed an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) system to provide AMI-based services for SVE customers; installations included 27,641 smart meters and a supporting communications network. The project also implemented a critical peak pricing (CPP) pilot across the service territory to assess the effectiveness of time-based rate programs. The pilot involved deployment of home area networks, in-home displays, and a customer web portal, as well as implementation of a time-of-use electricity rate.Contact Information
