Smart Grid Curriculum Development

Abstract

Pratt Community college is forming the Kansas Community College Energy Consortium to develop training that meets the needs of the electric power industry. This project is incorporating Smart Grid training into electric power lineman, power plant, and information network certificates and AAS curricula statewide. Opportunities for power career exploration and training is provided for both new and incumbent workers. Web-based training will be utilized to enhance the training experience and to reach a larger number of participants.
