Angle/frequency monitoring 1 The WECC completed development of the application tools and the applications went into production September 10, 2013. These applications were developed under the WECC DOE ARRA Grant and are described in detail in that grant report. The primary application consisted of the WAV (Wide Area View) intended to improve situational awareness and wide-area monitoring of the Western Interconnection. The project costs allocated to Advanced Applications included an Intrusion Detection system and the SEL SynchroWav software to enable communication and viewing of the data streams with WECC. $32,049
