Backhaul communications description | Four of the tower gateway base stations (TGB) use company-owned fiber backhaul. One TGB uses a leased fiber circuit. | $909,875 |
Meter communications network | The Sensus system uses 900MHz licensed frequency point to multipoint radio communications to the meters. Five towers cover the ENO territory, providing ample redundancy. Four of these were existing Entergy towers, and one uses leased tower space to get optimal signal coverage. The TGB comprises the radio and data collection computer.. | |
Head end server | The TGBs send data to the Sensus Regional Network Interface and Flexnet headend system. | $3,139,116 |

In home displays | 2,049 | A total of 2,944 IHDs were deployed to homes - 399 in support of the Peak Time Rebate program, 2,542 for the IHD (only) program, and 3 as test units. Although the measurement period is over, the IHDs continue to operate. | $572,078 |

Programmable communicating thermostats | 270 | A total of 376 PCTs were deployed for the AC Load Management program. The PCTs were manufactured by HAI, Inc. and communicate via the AMI meters using Zigbee. In the first quarter of 2012, participants were given the option of having their old thermostat reinstalled or continuing to use the PCT. 235 of the 331 active participants elected to keep the PCT which will function as a programmable thermostat even if communications should be discontinued in the future. The decision was made not to retrieve PCTs from customers who opted out of the program prior to that time, but their devices are still counted in the deployed number of 270. | $246,545 |

Flat rate with Peak Time Rebates | 321 | 321 | The first Peak Time Rebate period ended in September 2011. A second PTR period is being conducted in the summer of 2012 with the remaining original PTR participants. 331 customers that had been moved from the "Flat Rate with PTR" to the "Flat Rate" were moved back to the PTR rate since they once again had the opportunity to earn a rebate. Due to program attrition, the number at the end of the period was 321. |
* In some circumstances, costs are incurred before devices are installed resulting in a reported cost where the quantity is zero.
* All dollar figures are the total cost, which is the sum of the federal investment and cost share of the recipient (the recipient cost share must be at least 50% of the total overall project cost).
** In some cases the number of entities reporting is greater than the total number of projects funded by the Recovery Act because some projects have multiple sub-projects that report data. View list of sub-projects.
