Automated feeder switches | 164 | Includes mostly automatic circuit reclosers and some auto switches with their associated controls. These will be automatically controlled by a DA ASR control program as well as supervisory control. In addition, remote control capacitor banks, with communications back to a centralized control program, will be installed for VAR optimization. For Automated Capacitor Equipment - Money has been spent on the capacitor banks for removal of the fixed capacitor banks that we were not able to retrofit with the automated controls and only had local operation. These banks are now installed with switched controlled banks that have the ability for remote operation. These newly installed banks also have equipment such as the current sensors, antennas, and ebridge radios. However, at this time, these are only in local operation mode. No costs will be reported till capacitors are fully installed and integrated into the centralized control program. | $5,576,000 |

* In some circumstances, costs are incurred before devices are installed resulting in a reported cost where the quantity is zero.
* All dollar figures are the total cost, which is the sum of the federal investment and cost share of the recipient (the recipient cost share must be at least 50% of the total overall project cost).
** In some cases the number of entities reporting is greater than the total number of projects funded by the Recovery Act because some projects have multiple sub-projects that report data. View list of sub-projects.
