Company Overview
Navajo Tribal Utility Association, located in Ft. Defiance, Arizona, will receive $4.99 million in funding to develop a smarter energy grid. The U.S. Department of Energy selected Navajo Tribal Utility as one of 100 companies to receive federal stimulus funds as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The stimulus funds will be used to install a smart grid network and data management system for all of its 38,000 customers. Integrate the smart grid system as part of the distribution network, which will help quickly identify any system outages.
