Company Overview
The City of Ruston Utility will receive $4.3 million in funding to develop a smart-grid energy management system. The U.S. Department of Energy selected 100 companies nationwide to receive funding as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The smart-grid energy management system will develop a fully functioning Smart Grid by improving customer systems, automating electricity distribution, and deploying a smart meter network and data management system. The smart grid will reduce consumer energy use and limit system losses.
