Company Overview
Baltimore Gas and Electric Company has received $200M in funding to initiate a smart grid project to install 2 million residential and commercial smart meters that could potentially save BGE electric and gas customers in excess of $2.6 billion over the life of the project. Deploy a smart meter network and advanced customer control system for 1.1 million residential customers that will enable dynamic electricity pricing. Expand the utility's direct load control program, which will enhance grid reliability and reduce congestion.
