Company Overview
The Smart Grid project funded by the Recovery Act will expand the implementation of Minnesota Power's existing smart meter network by deploying an additional 8,000 meters and new measurement and automation equipment. This will also create a dynamic pricing program. Allete, which does business as Minnesota Power, will be using $1.5M in funding to modernize its meter network, purchase new measurement and automation equipment, and begin a new dynamic pricing program.
